Top 5 Tips When Cleansing
Whether you’re doing a candida, SIBO, parasite or a seasonal cleanse…you’ll want to set yourself up for success…
When cleansing, you may experience die-off symptoms like headaches, body aches, fatigue, constipation…but don’t worry! This is a sign that the cleanse is working…these are toxins leaving your body!
With die-off, you may also notice you’re more emotional around this time (I notice that for me anyway) You’re not only cleansing physically but also emotionally. As we clear toxins from our body, certain feelings or emotions we may have suppressed subconsciously have the opportunity to rise and be felt.
So with all that being said, I wanted to share with you my top cleansing tips to help set you up for success…because let’s be honest, there will likely be unexpected things that arise and that’s normal, but when we prepare…we are more able to meet the unexpected with ease.
1. Binders
As I mentioned above, there may be die-off. Common symptoms of die-off feel like the common flu: achy joints, fatigue, sore throat, excess mucus, and diarrhea.
One of the best things you can do when this happens is to take a Binder like ZEOCO. This is a combination of activated charcoal and zeolite clay.
Activated charcoal is made from woody plant materials such as coconut husks and is “activated” by being baked to an extremely high temperature to remove all compounds except the structural carbon of the wood itself. It has the power to not only absorb more poisons and toxins than any other substance known but also has the capacity to absorb over 1,000 times its weight in toxins such as lead, acetate, strychnine, chlorine, and mercury and facilitate their safe elimination from the body during bowel movements.
Zeolite clay naturally draws out and encapsulates toxins so that they can be easily expelled from your body. Zeolite molecules are negatively charged and thus attract and hold positively charged toxins such as heavy metals and Candida waste products. These toxic compounds, once bound up by zeolite, are safely moved through the digestive tract and excreted without risk of release and re-toxification to the body. What’s even more impressive, is that zeolite clay acts as a mineral supplement as well. It works by swapping out healthy minerals such as calcium, magnesium and potassium for any contaminants on or in your body such as mercury, lead, or nitrosamines.
***ZEOCO is an absorber, so be sure to take it 2-3 hours away from CCWS Candida Cleanser, food or any other supplements.
***Drink plenty of water when using binders!

2. Liver Support
Your liver’s main function is detoxification…(along with 500 other functions)…so it could always use a little support. From environmental toxins to the thoughts we think, it’s easy for our liver to be a little “backed up”.
Candida gives off this horrible stuff called acetaldehyde. It’s considered a human carcinogen and is a byproduct of alcohol…if you’ve ever experienced a hangover…you know what I’m talking about! It builds up in the tissues, can exasperate die-off symptoms and kill brain cells. Removing acetaldehyde can be very hard on your liver and deplete your body of glutathione (a powerful antioxidant).
Dr. Mark Hyman calls glutathione, “The most important molecule you need to stay healthy and prevent aging, cancer, heart disease, dementia and more, and necessary to treat everything from autism to Alzheimer’s disease.”
The Liver Support is a combination of two powerful herbs, non-irradiated milk thistle and dandelion root. These herbs can help regenerate damaged liver cells and boost Glutathione, Your Body’s Natural Antioxidant.
Milk thistle helps repair damaged liver cells and encourages the growth of new ones so much so that it has proven to reverse damage to the liver that’s been caused by prescription drugs, antibiotics, pesticides in food, and heavy metals. Milk thistle also aids the liver in glutathione production! Remember, glutathione is your body’s ‘master antioxidant’ which plays a large role in preventing disease, supporting optimal detox, and immunity.
NOTE: The active medical ingredient in milk thistle is an alkaloid called silymarin. If you ever see this name on a label it is referring to this specific liver-regenerating medicinal compound.
Dandelion root is often used for detoxifying the liver and gallbladder. It supports the healthy secretion of bile, which is used to break down fats and is also a way for toxins to leave the body. The roots are also a great coffee substitute since they have a very rich earthy flavour.
3. Probiotics
A healthy microbiome is essential for overall health, the bacteria living in your gut affect your mood, energy levels and even how well you sleep at night. By taking a probiotic, you encourage more beneficial bacteria into your gut which will help fight candida, support your immune system and keep the harmful bacteria at bay.
Consider adding probiotic rich foods like sauerkraut, kimchi or kefir to your diet. Just know that fermented foods are not for everyone because of the yeast…they may cause a bit of a reaction. If this happens use supplementation instead and continue your gut healing by drinking lots of meat stock, which contains collagen and nutrients to heal and seal your gut lining.
EM-PRO is a soil-based probiotic, which means it contains soil-based organisms that help keep your immune system strong and reduce inflammation in your gut by removing nitrogenous waste in the intestinal tract. Nitrogenous wastes are utilized by the yeasts such as candida as nutrients. By increasing your beneficial microflora with EM-PRO you reduce yeast growth and also help detox your body.
***This probiotic is safe to use if you’re doing the SIBO Cleanse because it does not colonize the small intestine or feed the bacteria that are already growing there.

4. Movement
I understand, sometimes getting on your yoga mat or putting on your running shoes is the last thing you want to do when you’re feeling tired…but it can be really helpful for shifting your energy and cleansing those emotions that may come up.
Practicing yin yoga or taking a walk in nature are some of my favourite ways to move my body. They are both gentle and can be great tools for stress management since they calm the nervous system.
5. Self-Love & Rest
Okay…so this is technically two, but they kind of go hand in hand.
This is a time to show yourself lots of compassion, cleansing isn’t always easy…so be proud of yourself for even taking that first step. Your body will need rest at this time, so kick up your feet and drink lots of water.
This can be a great time to try something new like breathwork or meditation, maybe carve out some time to do more of the things that you love…this may be taking Epsom salt baths or buying yourself flowers 💐
